Are you thinking about becoming a John Deere technician? LandMark Implement offers a tuition remission program where qualified students will receive reimbursement for 100% of college tuition, fees, books and room and board plus a $5,000 tool stipend. After graduation, you have a guaranteed job at a LandMark Implement location.

Students will be paid a competitive hourly wage for their cooperation hours in the shop and be guaranteed employment at one of our Landmark locations post-graduation.  

To qualify, students must sign a five-year* contract.  The tuition remission payback will be pro-rated for 60 months post-graduation. If either party ends the partnership during the five-year contract, remission payments will cease.

*Three year contracts are available without room and board assistance.

What does a day in the life of a LandMark John Deere tech student look like?

Tech working with Red HammerThe John Deere student tech program combines classroom time with hands-on lab work and a paid internship at a LandMark Implement shop. Students will learn about many topics including diagnostics to repair John Deere equipment while working side-by-side with the industries best technicians.

LandMark's John Deere dealership student techs work on engines, power trains, hydraulic systems, electrical and electronics, air conditioning diagnostics and repair, as well as tillage, spraying and harvesting equipment and John Deere Satellite Mapping.

Students in this program will have a sponsoring LandMark Implement John Deere dealership location and are expected to continue employment with the dealership after graduation. During training, students will work for two quarters at their sponsoring dealership. Students who attend Southeast Community College are admitted twice per year. In addition to meeting general SCC requirements, students are tested to evaluate potential for success in the John Deere Tech program. Selected applicants will work with our Recruitment Specialist, Deanna, to secure a LandMark location sponsorship for off-campus training.
